In the new wave of mergers and acquisitions, Microsoft has agreed to buy internet telephony service Skype. Skype have been owned by Ebay in 2006 in but 70% was sold to a group of investors in 2009.

According to Milward Brown, a WPP owned research company, Apple has topped its list of annual top 100 brand global list. The list called Brandz has seen the end of Google's four year supremacy on the top of the list, the spot which is now owned by Apple. Apple has an estimated increase of 84% in value to £93bn.

Windows 7 is the eagerly anticipated successor to window vista. Microsoft have built their latest operating system to be far better than any previous. They are also claiming that it will be much more capable of handling various types of software and will crash a lot less.
