Aquatic Experience - A Deep World of Secrets

Snapshot of redpalm themeOceans comprise of 71% of the earth's surface and the depths of the oceans are the least explored part of planet Earth. The fact is that we know more about the Moon or Mars or any of the other celestial bodies than we know about the ocean.

Who knows what creatures make the ocean floor their home. At a fundamental level, marine life helps determine the very nature of our planet.

Marine organisms produce much of the oxygen we breathe and help regulate the earth's climate. Shorelines are in part shaped and protected by marine life, and some marine organisms even help to create new lands.

Autumn - A Transitional Change: Summer to Winter

Snapshot of redpalm themeAutumn is a unique season which defines nature's transitional change from summer to winter. It is the season during which most crops are harvested, trees lose their leaves, days become to shorten rapidly and gradually becoming cooler in northern latitudes in the months of July or August.

On the other hand this change occurs in January and February in the south, whereas it is September or March when twilight becomes evidently shorter. Autumn season and its wonderful colours define its glorious effect, hence changing the natural view of most of the countries altogether. To conclude, nature giving its natural decoration.

Blooming Sunflower - Staring at the Sun

Snapshot of redpalm themeThe sunflower is notable for turning to face the sun. The flower is actually a head comprising of numerous flowers crowded together. The outer flowers are the ray florets and can be yellow, maroon, orange, or other colors. These flowers are sterile. The flowers that fill the circular head inside the ray flowers are called disc florets.

The arrangement of florets within this cluster is typically such that each is separated from the next by approximately the golden angle, producing a pattern of spirals where the number of left spirals and the number of right spirals are successive Fibonacci numbers, typically 34 in one direction and 55 in the other; on a very large sunflower you may see 89 in one direction and 144 in the other.

In Greek mythology, a girl named Clytie fell in love with the sun god Apollo, and would do nothing but watch his chariot move across the sky. After nine days, she was transformed into a sunflower.
