5th December 2007: Webmirer in ‘The Birmingham Post’ as a growing enterprise

Webmirer was today featured in Birmingham Mail, under the Enterprise Section. It showcases the team’s Entrepreneurial effort and the latest research we conducted where 81% of the websites in were breach of the minimum level and standards of Web Usability and Accessibility across 10 major business sectors in the U.K.

September 2007: Webmirer wins “Most Innovative Business Award” in Birmingham

In September 2007, Webmirer Ltd was nominated for the annual awards for local businesses under the category ‘Best Business Idea’ and ‘Most Innovative Business’.

Webmirer Ltd won the Annual Awards 2007 for the ‘Most Innovative Business’ at the Aston Villa Football Club, Villa Park in Birmingham.

The Annual Awards Dinner is specifically designed by small businesses to reward small businesses and gives attendees the opportunity to enjoy meal and awards ceremony followed by live entertainment from 'Matthew Ford' (Nominated for The Ronnie Scott's Award for U.K Male Singer of the Year 2007) and all the event donations on the evening going to Barnardo's.

We have sponsored and exhibited in the above event at Aston Science Park. The event was informative and was really a good opportunity to network with the people and showcase what we do and offer to businesses across Birmingham.

This seminar offered the businesses and its people to share advice and secrets of technology focus both present and future.

Apart from the above, it also addressed challenges and opportunities businesses face in technological areas, its understanding, use and problem fixing.

We are pleased to announce that we have joined the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce as certified members and hopes that it opens doors to even large network of businesses in Birmingham. We look forward to have a long and successful relationship with them.

1st April 2007: Featured Magazine Article

Commerce Birmingham – The Independent Business Magazine for Birmingham

We were selected by the Commerce Birmingham which is also supported by Birmingham International Airport. We were judged and selected by the magazine editors as a highly innovative online solutions provider and filling the gap in the market by making use of web to its utmost potential.

The article states how we make web presence really work for businesses using best practices (PAS78) and the secret ingredient of getting a website which allows users to use it more effectively and leads to higher visibility to search engines.

The main heading focus more on what the role DDA 2005 plays for business offering good and services online and what are the legal implications of having a web presence which is not accessible to all, regardless of disability.

Revealing that Webmirer works in the heart of Birmingham and contributing the city by sharing and providing the expertise and knowledge within the field of Web Accessibility and Usability.

It’s Showtime! Webmirer Ltd exhibited in the Business Start-up Exhibition

BUSINESS STARTUP Exhibition is UK’s one of the biggest event for SMEs where Tens of thousands of new enterprises are launched and where they converge to source products, services and advice to help them their way to growth and success.

On the 23rd and the 24th of February 2007 Webmirer exhibited in NEC BIRMINGHAM under the businesses offering ‘Business Compliance’ and ‘Internet/e-commerce’ services.

We came across with few brilliant opportunities to meet people from some of the well known organisations who really liked the idea of we do and the niche and innovative solutions we offer.

We received a tremendous response from the show and received a great exposure to hundreds of valuable contacts and businesses from all over the U.K.

Among the speakers were:

  • Peter Jones, extensively known as a panellist on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den
  • Karren Brady, the youngest person ever to have been managing director of a UK PLC.
